Fireplace fix

So, this is mostly for Mom, whom I keep telling "I painted the fireplace cabinets" and forgetting to send a picture. I'll put a before and after picture in because it makes me feel like we've actually accomplished something:) Jeremy is plumbing in the bathroom as I'm writing this (10:50 pm) because our faucet broke...sometimes I feel like our old house is falling apart faster than we can fix it up;) Thus the before and after, Mom, just to make me feel better! I can do that, right? :) It looks so WHITE in the picture, but honestly it doesn't FEEL that white when you're in the room. Or maybe it is just because I am so sweet and good that white suits me like my angel attire that I usually wear, so it just seems normal to me when I'm in the room. Really.

  1. Cool! The lighter color really opens up the space!

  2. Having seen both the "before" and "after" many times, I must say that I love the lighter color...the area above the fireplace makes a perfect backdrop for a piece of art...or sometime in the future, a flat-screen TV?? ;o) (How many years have I heard that comment about the area over our family room fireplace...like since the first day that flat screens came out...it's a guy thing!!)

  3. Love the white....it shows off the photos, fireplace and art work so much better. Looks like a cozy place to spend a cool night in front of the fire....
